Job Description

Brightspeed has an exciting opportunity for an IT **** Manager, Test and Operations Support to join our rapidly growing team In this role, you will oversee evaluation, documentation, implementation, testing, and performance for IT Filed apps using serviceNow, PowerApps, and related systems. You will work closely with business/operations experts and IT leads to ensure alignment of field systems with Brightspeed's go-to-market strategies. You will ensure IT dispatch system solutions integrate strategically into upstream & downstream workflows for IT Provisioning, Inventory, and Service Assurance systems.

As an IT Manager, Test and Operations Support, your duties and responsibilities will include:

Leadership:

Build a new team of software testers, and support personnel to enhance, support, and maintain the Engineering systems at Brightspeed
Balance priorities from multiple areas and finding innovative IT solutions to business problems by building automated tests
Assist business partners with solutions for Dispatch Assignments Optimization, Appointment scheduling, Technician Scheduling & forecasting
Identify and driving implementation of automation to optimize field & dispatch center operations power apps
Innovative solutions to help reduce the apps and optimize the architecture
Drive the addition of features to dispatch systems to enable new capabilities for the tool
Build and supporting Cloud Platform instances needed for dispatch systems
Planand execution for migration of legacy dispatch systems to new Brightspeed systems architecture
Work closely with vendor/3rd party partners to manage progress on solutions development and drive rapid progress
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
Support multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery within the planned timeline and estimated efforts
Be part of the operational support team to ensure the platform's stability
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to ensure cohesive project execution

Technical Expertise:
Proficient in automation testing, power apps, and related technologies
Oversee the end-to-end implementation of field applications including planning, design, configuration, deployment, and support
Ensure integration with other dispatch modules and external systems via REST and Kafka
Utilize programming skills to develop and maintain scripts and integrations using JavaScript, Java, and relational database management systems (RDBMS)
Ensure secure authentication and authorization practices using OAuth protocols

Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the power platform
Implement best practices for development, deployment, and maintenance
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary optimizations

Training and Support:
Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and administrators
Provide support for application-related issues
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures

Qualifications:
Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum of 7-15 years of hands-on experience with power apps.
Proven track record of leading end-to-end applications.
Proficiency in Testing and maintaining Java based and power apps applications, including micro-services, GitHub, CI/CD using GitHub, Kubernetes, and GCP.
Strong understanding of integration capabilities, including REST/SOAP web services.
Experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS), such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
Expertise in designing and implementing Scripts and API in Java and power apps.
Performance management.
AGILE development experience
Extensive experience driving software design and development for IT systems.
Firm grasp and experience with dispatching algorithms, dispatch optimization, appointment scheduling, forecasting & capacity planning concepts
Ability to understand and implement complex technical information
Collaborative, team builder with strong communication skills.
