We are seeking an innovative Senior Agile Champion with a strong technology mind-set. This individual should be well versed in applying data driven insights for use in reporting and driving relevant outcomes. Need to work well with a team developing solutions to drive engagement within our existing cardmember base and attract new customers to the AMEX brand. Collaborate with technology teams to ensure the quality delivery of applications and infrastructure components. The role will collaborate closely with Product, Engineers, Architects, Leadership and other key stakeholders, to ensure completeness and efficiency of solutions while ensuring alignment to standards. Delivering value-based outcomes using Agile practices and processes is key to this role, equally important is the ability to understand the products and functionality in support of platforms within Technology.

In this role you will actively drive processes and execution as part of the Enterprise Platforms Product Delivery and Integration Team supporting delivery enablement on behalf of Global Accounts Receivable. Directly supports and leads Product and Engineering team agility by demonstrating Agile/Scrum concepts and principles to support successful business outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:Facilitates Agile events that help the Engineering team deliver value incrementally and iteratively.Drives the Engineering team's contribution throughout the Program Increment (PI) through coaching and facilitating team level events.Supports the team in achieving the PI objectives and improves the team's long-term performance via coaching and encouraging continuous improvement in ways of workingSupports and coaches Product Owners through backlog refinement, backlog readiness, definition of ready/done, coaching on writing user stories, supports decision making and cultivates continuous delivery of business value to end users.Supports coordination across Team of Teams (Agile Release Train (ART)/Release Train Engineer (RTE)).Proactively identifies and maintains visibility around gaps, impediments, risks, and dependencies and recommend solutions. Ensures impediments are visible and handled through to resolution, raising up when vital.Ownership of practices for identifying, tracking, discussing, and resolving cross-team dependencies within the team, identify owners of a dependency on some occasions. Uses coaching and facilitation to enable team to use dependency management techniques to drive delivery.Monitors progress and impact over time by tracking, identifying, and improving delivery effectiveness metrics.Cultivates, coaches, and communicates with Agility in mind, working within principles and values while promoting a continuous improvement.Improves the performance of the team (e.g., reaction time and solutioning) by encouraging innovation, continuous improvement, and adoption of standard practices.Mentors Agile ChampionsLeadership and Coaching:Provides guidance of timely identification and prioritization of technical and business features.Ensures an environment of continuous improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics.Coach leaders and teams in Lean-Agile practices and processes.Live the Agile and SAFe Values and Principles.Encourage diversity of thought and demonstrate an open mindset.Builds trust and leadership in others.Champion constant learning in order to drive improvements and standardization.Respectfully and purposefully challenge the norms.Inspires collaboration and quality practices between system architects, Agile teams, and product teams.Promotes compliance with SDLC standards across the team.Ensures data integrity for the team within the Agile Management tools.Influence without authority through effective change and leadership management.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in technology related subject area or equivalent experience required.3-5 years' of experience with a consistent track record of growing responsibility.Experience leading Agile, Scrum, or other rapid application development teams to deliver technology solutions that meet customer expectations for timeliness and quality.Experience in clarifying objectives, dealing with ambiguity/under-defined problems, advocating for simplification, and influencing teams.Excellent oral and written skills; Ability to efficiently communicate across third parties and technical and business product managers.Ability to steer and deliver communications to all levels of leadership.Ability to deliver complex software iteratively and with qualityAbility to drive continuous improvement of the delivery team.PMI Certification is a plusScrum Master Certification or demonstrated years of experience (expectation of Scrum Master Certification may be required within designated timeframe).Experience using Rally or JIRA agile delivery management platform is required.Experience with SDLC Methodologies & Practice.Strong coaching and leading without authority skills.Deep understanding of Agile at Scale or iterative development processes, including quality and testing standard practices. Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
