The Enterprise Platforms Loyalty and Benefits organization is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Product Owner to be a part of Offers Domain that manage Amex Offers globally. Apart from the existing customer journeys, there is a 3-year roadmap for Amex Offers Transformation which includes expanding Amex Offers into a modular and hybrid model which supports third party engagements. These responsibilities will include lead the transformation activities and build capabilities with their peer product managers across the Offers domain.

As the Product Owner, you will manage a scrum team that owns a set of capabilities and will collaborate with Product Managers and Senior Product Managers to execute on a roadmap and deliver on priority features and stories.

Responsibilities:

Analyzes, researches, and supports the development of new and modified software capabilitiesSupports Product Managers for new products or modifications to existing productsManage a scrum team and work with product peers on the allocation of scrum team capacity by translating features into prioritized user stories.Creates and maintains a product backlog for a specific product and ensures user stories are aligned to underlying product outcomes. Track and communicate progress of the user stories or features to stakeholdersIdentifies technical problems and facilitates resolution of straightforward risks, issues, and changes tied to product management initiatives and processes.Documents updates in risks, issues, and changes as identified.Acts as a point of contact for internal inquiries. Escalates findings or issues to Senior Product Managers or leaderFull participation in and support of agile practices and ceremonies to reinforce the agile transformation of the delivery team.Work collaboratively across various stakeholder groups, including Loyalty, Marketing, Merchant, channel partners, technologies, and compliance, to envision and deliver Offer requirements.Build robust understanding of Amex Offers as well as competitive landscape while on the job Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 2 years experience as an associate product owner Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira and RallyProficient knowledge of Agile and Scrum development methodologies and IT project managementTeam skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with engineers within a scrum team and with other product ownersExcellent communication and collaboration skills to consult with various stakeholders and drive to optimal requirementsStrong problem structuring and solving skills for straightforward problemsProject management skills: ability to execute and track work of the team, identify risks and escalating in a timely mannerExperience working in building large-scale, high-performance backend solutions is preferredKnowledge of Change Management practices is desirableBachelor's Degree required Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
