Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will provide strategic and operational support to the Global Oncology Development therapeutic area.

Responsibilities:

Provide operational support to the Global Oncology Development Therapeutic Area (TA) Leads, including project management and implementation of functional projects. Drafting communication plans and contribute to presentation development. Support cross-functional business initiatives as assigned. Partner with TA Leads and collaborate with other R&D functions to identify and drive resolution of issues, build arguments, generate plans and deliver results. Act as a sounding board / advisor to TA Leads on key activities and issues. Help facilitate Therapeutic Area goal setting and run against progress. Represent business strategy and guide the activities of key business partners such as Human Resources, Finance, and Corporate Communications in support of TA objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners; proactively communicating, seeking advice, and facilitating critical business decisions. Management and facilitation of the Therapeutic Area governance meetings. Lead and facilitate key departmental meetings (eg, Senior Leadership Teams and Therapeutic Area meetings). Lead TA functional budget, including oversight of travel process. Ensure staff compliance with Amgen corporate and departmental training and SOP review. Contribute to the development of relevant policies, SOPs and associated documents. Support resource strategy efforts and management of TA headcount, and support HR activities. Identify training, mentoring plans and on-boarding development needs for staff and assist in developing the talent pool. Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree and 2 years of experience in R&D planning and operationsOr Masters degree and 4 years of experience in R&D strategic planning and operationsOr Bachelors degree and 6 years of experience in R&D planning and operationsOr Associates degree and 10 years of experience in R&D planning and operationsOr High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience in R&D planning and operations Preferred Qualifications: Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and experience in facilitating workshops and group meetings. High self-confidence, self-motivation, strong critical and analytical thinking skills.
