Discover Impactful Work:

The Chemical Packager is responsible for weighing, filling, labeling, sealing and other packaging operations as well as general warehouse duties relating to packaging materials such as unloading bottle trucks and keeping packaging materials in order.

A day in the Life:
  • Weighing, filling, labeling, sealing and other packaging operations for various bottle sizes
  • General warehouse duties relating to packaging materials such as unloading bottle trucks and keeping packaging materials in order.
  • Transport bulk material, bottles, caps and supplies to filling location.
  • Complete necessary information for recordkeeping.
  • Set up scale, checks bottle size, sets up containers to be filled.
  • Responsible for working safely and for producing quality products.
Keys to Success:Education
  • A high school diploma or GED is required
Experience
  • 1 or more years' experience working in manufacturing environment and/or packaging environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Knowledge of the purpose, operation, and assembly of the machinery and equipment and mechanical ability preferred.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Candidates who are committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Willingness to learn various equipment including powered industrial trucks, forklifts, or other equipment.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • Ability to manipulate/handle drums weighing up to 110 kg and lift containers weighing up to 40 kg.
  • Ability to stand for the duration for shift requirements.
  • Ability to operate machinery intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Job requires wearing personal protective equipment to include gloves, safety suit, safety glasses, and other PPE as required.
  • Ability to operate a stand up forklift and walkie stacker
