We are currently hiring for an Entry-Level Laboratory Technician to perform Quality Assurance testing on food products This is a long-term career opportunity with potential for growth and this particular site will focus on testing sauces and salad dressings primarily.


An ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in a scientific field such as Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or something similar.

We may also be open to candidates with an Associates Degree in a Scientific field or industry laboratory experience.

This role will start out at roughly $22/hour, but will bump up to $25/hour after a 6 month training period

We have openings on 2nd and 3rd shift, with required OT

The Lab Technician will be doing basic QA/QC lab testing.

The candidate will work in 3 area's after pulling samples from the plant floor:

  • Inprocess testing running acid/salt tests and some taste testing
- pH/Viscosity testing and titrations

  • Packaging/QA checking labels and code dates, checking bottles for cracks, leaks and weighing them and doing all documentation.

Other duties include:

  • Collect and test samples of ingredients, products or packages according to established procedures
  • Monitor processes to ensure they are operating correctly and consistently
  • Document all results neatly and precisely
  • Label and maintain product retention samples used to monitor the product throughout the established shelf life
  • Organize collected data for management review
  • Maintain lab equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Communicate noncompliant results immediately to management
  • Monitor plant for compliance to GMP's
  • Accurately weigh ingredients, colors, flavorings and seasonings
  • Test R&D samples for food safety & specification development
  • Conduct other duties, as assigned by the plant QA Supervisor or QA Manager.
