Description:

Greenlight Networks, a growth technology company with a mission of connecting communities by delivering the best internet experiences, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented summer intern to join our Accounting Team to make a meaningful impact to the organization from an accounting and finance standpoint.

This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with day-to-day operations of an accounting department.

What you'll do:

  • Provide support to the Accounting team.
  • Prepare journal entries and month-end reconciliations.
  • Assist with accounts payable.
  • Perform analysis and research.
  • Gain valuable experience with Excel, Sage Intacct and other business programs.
  • Interact with others in the organization.

What you'll gain:

  • Experience in understanding how the accounting department functions with other departments and provides value to the whole company.

This is a paid internship position with a pay rate ranging from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, compensated on a weekly basis.

The internship offers flexible hours, requiring a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week, with the possibility of working up to 40 hours per week.

Position Requirements

What we're looking for:

  • Coursework with an emphasis on accounting needed.
  • Previous related work experience in school environment or co-op/ internship desirable.
  • Knowledge of the basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Team orientated approach to tasks and problem solving.
  • Must be able to collect, evaluate and interpret data, in both statistical and narrative form.
  • Should be capable of preparing files and maintaining records and documentation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable with Excel and MS office software.
  • Ability to work well in a small collaborative team environment.
