Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and reliability of our corporate financial reports. Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for executing month-end closing activities, which include the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations. The Senior Financial Accountant also addresses various ad hoc reporting requests while ensuring adherence to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other applicable financial standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger.
  • Conduct complex financial analyses and reporting, along with account reconciliations as required.
  • Communicate reconciliation discrepancies to relevant business partners, providing comprehensive details to facilitate prompt resolution and accurate transactions, in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and operational procedures, recommending enhancements to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley standards.
  • Represent the accounting department in cross-functional teams and projects, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives and effectively communicating impacts.
  • Assist in developing departmental procedures and maintain thorough documentation of processes, updating as necessary.
  • Manage time effectively to meet various internal and external deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other departments to collect, analyze, and interpret pertinent financial data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is essential.
  • Proficient in analyzing and interpreting financial data.
  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Demonstrated written communication abilities.
  • Capable of working under tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Certification as a Public Accountant is preferred.

Compensation:
In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, the starting base salary range for this role is $52,780 - $82,940 annually. This range reflects base pay only and does not encompass other elements of the total rewards package for the position. Overall compensation will be influenced by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience, potentially resulting in total compensation outside of this range.
