Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and reliability of our corporate financial reports. Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for executing month-end closing activities, which include the preparation of journal entries and the reconciliation of accounts. The Senior Financial Accountant also handles various ad hoc reporting requests and ensures compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant financial standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger.
  • Conduct complex financial analyses and reporting, along with account reconciliations as assigned.
  • Communicate reconciliation issues to relevant business partners, providing detailed insights for timely resolution and accurate transactions, in line with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls, recommending enhancements to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley standards.
  • Represent the accounting department in cross-functional teams and projects, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives and effectively communicating impacts.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental procedures, maintaining precise documentation of processes and updates as necessary.
  • Manage time effectively to meet various internal and external deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other departments to collect, analyze, and interpret pertinent financial data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficient in analyzing and interpreting financial data.
  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Demonstrated written communication abilities.
  • Capable of working under tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.

Compensation:
In the spirit of transparency, the starting base pay range for this position is $52,780 - $82,940 annually. This range reflects base pay only and does not account for other components of the total rewards package. Overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience, which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
