Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to join our Controllership Americas team as a Sr. Specialist, Strategic Controllership. This critical role will drive sustainable value creation for SABIC through holistic, cross-functional financial analyses and improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will define implementable plans to improve cash situation and profitability, contribute to performance improvement, and identify trends in financial performance.

How You Can Be the Impact

  • Develop and implement plans to improve cash situation and profitability in the Americas region.
  • Conduct "What if" scenarios and simulate future market opportunities to inform business decisions.
  • Analyze financial performance trends and benchmark against external competitors.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and practices across functions and drive implementation.
  • Prepare quarterly financial analysis and reporting for the Americas region.
  • Develop and maintain Contingency Plans to increase agility in economic downturns.
  • Collaborate with senior management on cost reduction and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Ensure a holistic perspective across Corporate Finance functions in AMR region Business Cases.

What matters to SABIC

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field
  • 10+ years of experience in Finance, strategy or consultancy
  • In-depth FP&A experience (6 years preferred)
  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing financial performance indicators and implementing measures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Proven track record of leading successful multifunctional projects resulting in significant cost savings and increases of economic value
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, enabling persuasive presentation of findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strength in dealing with ambiguity
