The

Aging and Long-Term Support Administration

has an opportunity for a motivated Customer Service Specialist 3 to join our hard-working team of professionals.

Striving to uphold the ALTSA Strategic Plan of increasing the percentage of Long Term Care (LTC) recipients being served more timely and in home and community based settings of their choice.

We are looking for a senior-level Customer Service Specialist that serves as the first point of contact with clients, families, community members, internal and external stakeholders, and advocates inquiring about and seeking assistance through Home and Community services programs.

Some of what you'll be doing:

Guiding clients, families, and advocates on how to access programs and services within the Home and Community Service division of ALTSA through telephone and office interactions
Assisting clients with the completion of necessary forms for the financial applications to facilitate the intake process
Responding to inquiries in a timely manner about services and eligibility requirements
Screening and assigning incoming faxed intake & referrals for accuracy and eligibility for long term care Public Benefits Specialist review
Processing incoming and outgoing mail, handling urgent and confidential documents
Consulting and staffing complex cases with supervisor and team members
Operating multiple computer programs for data entry
What we're looking for someone that can:

Provide excellent customer service and can communicate effectively
Provide correct explanations to the public and/or clients regarding forms, pamphlets, applications and other materials
Resolve customer service related complaints with poise and grace
Effectively operate multiple computer programs (examples includes but are not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint)
Multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
Access and/or refer individuals to other resources within the community and/or agency
Travel for training and community meetings as needed
Who should apply?

Professionals with five years' experience providing assistance to customers regarding inquiries, complaints, or problems.

College level degrees may substitute year for year for up to four years of the required experience.
