Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Process Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent performs maintenance on fixed plant equipment, and pumping and piping systems while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross' values.
Job Responsibilities
Operate basic support equipment such as overhead cranes and forkliftsPerform all aspects of pump maintenanceComplete basic mechanical projectsLube equipment, store the new oil, and dispose of waste oilPerform maintenance on all plant equipmentCompliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conductMeets and exceeds established performance expectations set by managementConsistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performanceWorks without risk or harm to self and othersPunctuality and regular attendance requiredPerforms other related functions as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
Knowledge of and ability to operate basic support equipment including forklifts, rigging, and overhead cranesKnowledge of lubing equipment, and the processes for storing and disposing of oilPossess Journeyman mechanical skills, and cutting and welding techniquesAbility to troubleshoot and repair solution pumps, requiredExperience maintaining belts, and gearboxesPossess understanding of pipes and plumbing repairs and installationsPossesses good communication and interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge with P.C. and JD Edwards experience preferredStrong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of of employees and managementAbility to work independently and also as a member of the management teamMust be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basisRequires valid driver's license
