Job Summary

Sandvik is seeking a highly skilled Technical Field Service Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment in the Elko, NV region. This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering and management experience in mobile mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement mechanical maintenance plans and budgets in accordance with local requirements.
    • Review and assess mechanical maintenance plans, standards, and budgets, including work scope packages, resourcing, and customer quoting.
  • Operations Management
    • Coordinate the development of mechanical maintenance plans and budgets in accordance with local requirements.
    • Monitor adherence of site maintenance operations to maintenance plans, using performance measures and KPIs as committed to in certain arrangements.
  • Financial Management
    • Ensure the maintenance team is operating within agreed financial targets.
    • Review maintenance costs regularly to continually improve cost efficiencies.
  • Technical Support
    • Provide equipment performance and applications feedback to internal stakeholders, factory representation, and customers as required.
    • Contribute to the development of engineering technical standards, including training, safe work practices, and commissioning documents.
  • People Management and Development
    • Recruit, mentor, motivate, train, evaluate, and lead team members to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Process Support function.
    • Ensure proper on-boarding of new personnel in accordance with Company procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five years of mechanical engineering degree or trade qualifications in a mechanical discipline.
  • At least five years of management experience in mobile mining heavy equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and PC/web applications.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities, planning skills, conceptual/analytical skills, organization skills, leadership skills, sound level of computer literacy, and highly developed communication skills.
