Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including haul trucks, graders, and dozers.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with maintenance personnel and other departments to ensure seamless equipment operation.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and management to resolve issues and implement improvements.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of heavy equipment systems, including braking, steering, and suspension.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in heavy equipment maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 7 years of experience in diesel repair and maintenance.
    • Diesel Technician's Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of heavy equipment systems.
    • Ability to read and understand hydrological and electrical schematics.
    • Proficiency with CMMS system, JDE plus, and other maintenance software.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
