Senior Finance Analyst, Compensation & Loss Management

Would you like to be part of the Traveler Partner Service Platfrom (TPSP) Finance team for Expedia Group (EG)?

Our team will drive EG customer compensation and Retail Loss financial planning and analysis, while appropriately managing risks and controls. Partnering closely with TPSP Customer Compensation & Loss Management organization and director, this role will provide decision-making support that will lead to improved customer compensation unit economics, and will provide support to the TPSP leadership team to drive company-wide strategic initiatives. You will translate complex financial data into actionable information, build financial models, analyze new initiatives, provide financial planning, and measure performance against operational metrics.

What you'll do:

  • Drive financial reporting and forecasting for EG Compensation and Loss (customer refunds, credits, coupons, goodwill)
  • Support leadership decision-making through timely strategic and quantitative analysis
  • Apply existing accounting and commercial knowledge to build understanding of process and data gaps within customer compensation contra-revenue (customer refunds, credits, coupons, goodwill), recommend and champion solutions.
  • Measure and improve customer compensation metrics by influencing policies, payment processes & establishing appropriate controls
  • Identify and drive action to address risks and opportunities to achieve financial and customer experience objectives
  • Provide business advisory to Retail Loss organization and collaborate for improved agent processes & automation to reduce retail loss

Who you are:

  • Bachelors in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Graduate degree preferred
  • 4+ years of finance or analytical work experience
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative financial skills including proficiency in Excel;
  • Experience using SQL to develop new data queries for regular reporting and adhoc business inquiry / models
  • Very organized and detail oriented, with the ability to work on multiple projects within tight timelines
  • Ability to see the 'big picture' and understand key trends and levers
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, and ability to influence others
  • Demonstrated understanding of forecasting / planning processes and preparation of executive-level management reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management and stakeholders across different organizations
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented approach towards business problems and process improvements
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity
  • Strong quantitative, analytical problem-solving skills
The total cash range for this position in Springfield is $61,500.00 to $86, Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $98,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
