Clarify is looking for Clinical Informatics Manager to join Clarify's strategic Customer Impact team. The individual will be responsible for supporting Clarify's Insights, Implementation, and Customer Success teams across payer, provider, and life sciences products in customer project management and clinical informatics expertise. The role will require an individual with clinical informatics knowledge, experience creating custom reporting from claims data, and a deep understanding of advanced healthcare analytics. An ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver with strong interpersonal and project management skills.

The Role

  • The Clinical Informatics Manager will be responsible for a range of responsibilities, including (but not limited to):
  • Making clinical informatics and claims-based coding decisions to support customer delivery (e.g. determination of which diagnosis codes, procedure codes, Rx codes, etc.) and meet specific customer needs, based on previous healthcare coding expertise and review of scientific and peer-reviewed literature
  • Act as a project manager across multiple custom analytics and research projects with the goal of accomplishing the triple aim – project completion on time, on budget, and built to scope.
  • Steer customer base in action planning and "next step" activities based upon analytical outputs and deliver analytically or clinically rooted opinions
  • Relay customer requirements and feedback with clinical informatics lens to product organization for continuous product improvement
  • Guide customer clinical strategy discussions for improvement tactics based on analytical outputs to increase adoption

What we are looking for

  • Project Management Professional certification or demonstrable experience as a PM is highly preferred
  • RN, NP, PA, MD, DO or other applicable clinical degree/ licensure a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of claims data and clinical coding systems (ICD10 diagnosis codes, ICD10 procedure codes, CPT codes, revenue codes, provider NPI codes, NDC Rx codes, DRG, HCPCS) required; familiarity with HCUP CCSR and CCS code groupings is very helpful
  • Strong SQL or equivalent querying skills
  • At least 5-6 years of healthcare claims data and health analytics experience
  • Previous experience working with analytic teams on project based custom report creation or other clinical analytic projects
  • Prior experience working with healthcare quality measures or analytics dashboards and/or reporting used to inform health care delivery and resource planning
  • Ability to build strong relationships across matrixed teams and coordinate activities and inputs of different stakeholders
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to distill critical insights
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to contribute to building a growing health analytic services organization with energy and excitement
  • Utilization Management knowledge and experience a plus
  • Value-based care/alternative payment models knowledge and experience a plus
