Knoxville, Tennessee, United States Red Ventures Full time

This role is not open to visa sponsorship or transfer of visa sponsorship including those on OPT and STEM-EXT OPT, nor is it available to work corp-to-corp.

The Allconnect team is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our growing software engineering team. Allconnect's patented platform integrates with major utility and broadband providers across the nation. Your communication skills will help drive collaboration with technical partners and external stakeholders to deliver cross-cutting, customer-centric solutions.

The products we design and implement, include location-based broadband information, streamlined connections to potential providers, plan comparisons and more. This role calls for a passionate individual who is skilled in systems integration, API development, and cloud programming. Each day, you'll create, code and optimize applications and services in a workplace where you can see the impact of your ideas. We are all about teamwork, accountability, innovation, and a customer-first approach. We work hard but do so in a collaborative, fun, and flexible work environment.

The right candidate for this role will be highly-organized and collaborative; with a passion for solving problems cross-functionally. But you won't do it alone — you'll have a collaborative team of project managers, product managers, and other engineers to support you.

What You'll Do:

  • Build performant and scalable APIs that power the Red Ventures' broadband business to help our customers solve their broadband connectivity needs.
  • Build solutions that scale, are secure, and maintainable.
  • Integrate internal and external APIs performantly.
  • Actively pair-programming with teammates when they need help. Help mentor and develop less senior talent.
  • Guide formal and informal code and architecture reviews.
  • Collaborate with the product management team and other developers to deliver a quality product that meets business needs.
  • Use a DevOps model, utilizing metrics and monitoring to manage our services.
  • Continually look for opportunities to build value in the codebase: set standards, build tools, and automate jobs to make yourself and your team better and faster.
  • Add to a culture that loves experimentation, Agile development, and intellectual curiosity
  • Be part of building a positive team environment

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on development experience using TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with one of the OOP languages such as Java or C# is a must.
  • Proficiency working with the cloud CI/CD infrastructure and components such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform is a must.
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB)
  • Proficiency building integrations with APIs spanning multiple different protocols (e.g. JSON/XML/GraphQL).
  • Proficiency working in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud-based platform.
  • Proficiency in version control tools like Git.
  • Experience with telemetry and monitoring such as New Relic or AWS Cloud Watch.
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Experience building and maintaining unit tests
  • Experience building and optimizing a CI/CD pipeline
  • Growth Mindset: A relentless desire to learn and excel in a tech-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration, including the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Even Better:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • AWS Developer or Solutions Architect Certification
  • Familiarity with GoLang
  • Terraform experience

Compensation

  • Cash Compensation Range: $100,000 - $150,000*
*Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.

Additionally, the following benefits are provided by Red Ventures, subject to eligibility requirements.
