Position Purpose:

Seeking world-class talent to join the world's leading distributor of automotive and industrial replacement parts and value-added services operating 5,500+ locations and servicing more than 20,000 locations in the U.S and Canada. Specifically, this role will function as the Product Owner of a team, to build the next generation Rebate Management & Promotions Management platform at GPC. Working with a highly talented team, you'll play a key role to build and run one of the world's largest automotive and industrial replacement parts operations.

The Sr Associate Product Manager is responsible for assessing business needs and working with cross-functional product teams to find the fastest way to achieve value around those needs. The role focuses on delivering business value to drive sales, improve efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction through the production of quality products. Within their designated enterprise product line, Product Owners work closely with teams of developers, designers, and business partners.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Develop deep knowledge of business processes multiple areas in customer domain focused on rebate and promotion management
  • Document requirements (functional and non-functional) via epics and user stories
  • Drive prioritization of epics and user stories
  • Assist Product Manager in driving collaboration and cross-domain prioritization and sequencing of activities
  • Manage stakeholder expectations to ensure scoping, backlog and delivery aligns with product strategy across multiple areas in a domain.
  • Track KPIs to measure relevant business goals for multiple areas the domain
  • Represent business throughout technology development process in multiple areas of the domain.
  • Track releases and communicate delivery roadmap
  • Work with agile practitioners and engineering to improve the overall delivery lifecycle
  • Plan and conduct user showcases and acceptance testing

  • Other duties as assigned


Location:
  • GPC has two work locations to choose from, Duluth or Atlanta office.
  • We offer a Flexible Work Policy that permits eligible employees to work a hybrid remote schedule.

Desired Qualifications & Experiences:
  • Degree in Computer Science or Engineering fields or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in scrum/agile development methodology.
  • 5+ years' experience driving product backlog prioritization and grooming/refinement
  • 5+ years of product ownership and helping drive road-mapping, planning and delivery in an agile environment.
  • 5+ years' experience designing processes and solutions for an omni channel organization.
  • 5+ years' experience designing solutions for the Retail Organization's Customer area Experience with software like Customer 360
  • Demonstrated experience with analytical and critical thinking skills; specially around the analysis of various customer components
  • Experience supporting, mentoring and managing product owners is a plus
  • Experience in the B2B and retail & wholesale business is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
