PrizePicks, the leading DFS platform known for accessibility and a thriving community, is seeking a rockstar Associate Product Manager to be an integral part of our Core Product Team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sports, and technology, and have a product-related background.

What you'll do:

  • Learn:
    • Learn the role, responsibilities, and tasks associated with growing in the product management career path.
    • Deeply understand the DFS landscape, particularly new game modes, promotions, and user requests.
    • Champion a data-driven approach to product decision-making.
    • Conduct research to identify customer needs and market gaps.
  • Strategize:
    • Become an expert on the PrizePicks product and deeply understand our members.
    • Identify opportunities to innovate and improve our products, while ensuring a best in class user experience by synthesizing customer pain points, user research, analysis, and stakeholder feedback.
    • Suggest product enhancements to improve user experience.
  • Execute:
    • Assist in the ownership of end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing optimization.
    • Create and own supporting documentation necessary for internal and external users.
  • Collaborate:
    • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and data scientists to define, build, and iterate on best-in-class products and user-facing features.
    • Work with primary stakeholders (like our UX, Engineering, Marketing, and Game Operations teams).
  • Grow:

What you have:

  • 2+ years of experience in product or related disciplines.
  • Entrepreneurial drive, passion about our mission, and deep empathy for our customers.
  • Strong research skills
  • Ability to balance competing priorities for feature delivery
  • Experience working across departments with internal or external stakeholders.
  • Self-driven with a sense of urgency and a desire for tackling unexpected problems.
  • The ability to take audibles in stride and adapt in a high-paced environment.

This role is a data centric hire for the Game Operations Business Intelligence team whose mission is to "Empower Game Operations with specialized analyses, tools, and expertise that enhance outcomes."

What you'll do:

  • Complete ad-hoc data requests from stakeholders about the performance of Game Operations.
  • Collaborate with sport owners to understand goals, problem areas, and identify opportunities.
  • Create regular reporting to evaluate OKR performance and identify areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with Game Operations to validate and refine liability management methodology.
  • Own data solution projects from ideation and requirements gathering to production deployment.
  • Build and maintain dashboards that are easy for stakeholders to understand and leverage.
  • Analyze large datasets then distill methodology and insights into actionable takeaways.
  • Contribute to the development of analysis frameworks and strategic business recommendations.
  • Enhance datasets to increase usability for increasingly granular analysis and reporting.
  • Propose and validate theses about potential ways to enhance outcomes for stakeholders.
  • Present deliverable insights and incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders.
  • Analyze projection lifecycle to identify process improvements and implement feedback loops.
  • Understand, identify, and create reporting to track specific segments of users and strategies.
  • Partner with Game Operations to improve trading performance, protocols, and tools.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in statistics, finance, math, or business analysis.
  • Intermediate experience with SQL, data visualization (e.g. Tableau), and Excel formulas.
  • 2+ years experience in an analyst, gaming, consulting, or data science role.
  • Extensive knowledge or experience in sports (including esports), gaming, DFS, pricing, or trading.
  • Organized, reliable, curious, professional, communicative, and growth oriented team player.
  • Demonstrated ability with data driven critical thinking, problem solving, and recommendations.

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience playing or optimizing play at a competitive level within sports, DFS, or other games.
  • Personal data or analysis projects related to sports, gaming, trading, pricing, or DFS.
  • Knowledge or experience with Python, R, MATLAB, or other programming languages.
