As a Best Buy Facilities Technician, you'll ensure that all stores in your market are clean, maintained and meet company standards. You'll perform a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks including painting, carpentry, plumbing and general mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

What you'll do
  • Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as minor plumbing repairs, drain cleanings, minor HVAC repairs, emergency response, cleanup work, painting and wall patching.
  • Drive a lift to perform cleaning, dusting, and light bulb changing.
  • Perform janitorial work including spot cleaning, window washing, restroom maintenance and trash handling
  • Perform light carpentry and electrical work as well as roof inspections.
  • Tracks work orders and other key documentation.
  • Manages parts and tool inventory.
Basic Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience with basic electrical, plumbing, painting and preventative maintenance management
  • 2 years of experience using communication and problem-solving skills
  • 3 years of maintenance or related experience
  • Current, valid driver's license
  • Have and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards (e.g. minimal number of violations/accidents, etc.)
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Acquire gain and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of hire
  • Able to push up to 100 pounds and carry up to 75 pounds
