The Business Intelligence Engineer, Offers is responsible for maintaining, optimizing and improving the organization's BI systems and data platforms with a specific focus on Ad Serving and Mobile Measurement Platforms. With a focus on enhancing data quality, increasing operational efficiency, and supporting real-time analytics, the BI Engineer designs and implements robust data ingestion pipelines, monitoring systems, and reporting solutions for the AdOps and Member Acquisitions teams. This role requires a balance of technical expertise in data engineering and business expertise in the Offers/Gaming space.

Primary Objectives:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines to ensure data quality and accessibility.
  • Ensure seamless integration of BI tools with existing systems and data sources.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Utilize version control systems like GitHub to manage codebases, ensuring proper versioning, collaboration, and deployment of data engineering solutions.

Detailed Job Duties: (typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks which support the primary objectives)

  • Data Integration: Work on integrating data from various ad-serving platforms and mobile measurement platforms such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, Tune and Adgate.
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines, integrating data from various sources and vendor APIs to ensure data quality and accessibility.
  • Version Control Management: Utilize version control systems like GitHub to manage codebases, ensuring proper versioning, collaboration, and deployment of data engineering solutions.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Provide regular status updates, manage changes in requirements, and ensure effective communication with business users.
  • Coding and Implementation: Implement efficient coding practices to enhance the quality of project deliverables.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously enhance data processes by adopting the latest advancements, such as Data Lake storage, Iceberg format for data management, Kafka for real-time streaming, and Data Catalogs for improved governance.

What Success Looks like:

Success in the Business Intelligence Engineer, Offers role involves effectively maintaining and integrating data for Ad Operations and Mobile Measure Platforms with existing Prodege data. The individual will excel by enhancing data quality, increasing operational efficiency, and supporting real-time analytics through robust data ingestion pipelines, monitoring systems, and reporting solutions. Successful performance also includes engaging with development and technical operations teams to integrate new data sources and prevent disruptions, alongside leading initiatives to automate reporting and translating business requirements into actionable data strategies.

The MUST Haves: (ex: skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses)

  • Three or more (3+) years experience in business intelligence engineering, with a strong background in Snowflake administration and Sigma reporting.
  • Expertise in SQL, Python, and other scripting languages pertinent to data process automation and analytics.
  • Knowledgeable in data replication tools like HVR, and comfortable engaging with APIs for data retrieval and insights dissemination.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and build data ETL processes, with an emphasis on quality checks and data integrity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing complex BI projects and delivering solutions that meet business needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a propensity for cross-functional teamwork and knowledge sharing.
  • Continuous learner with a passion for staying current with industry best practices and emerging BI technologies.

The NICE to Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field; master's degree or industry-specific certifications preferred.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $128,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to; the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, the type and length of knowledge and skills for the position, education, training, etc. Prodege is a multi-state employer and final compensation within this range could be impacted by work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
