We have an immediate need for a UXO Technician II to support our client base in Fort Irwin, CA.The UXO Technician II will be involved on projects and tasks that commensurate with their training level and at no time will they be asked or allowed to perform tasks exceeding their experience/training level per Department of Defense Explosives Safety Board Technical Paper (DDESB TP) 18.These tasks will involve removal of Munitions Debris (MD) and Cultural Debris (CD), operation of geophysical detection instruments and related equipment for field searches of UXO/Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC) and Discarded Military Munitions (DMM), and identification of military munitions.In a Typical Day The UXO Technician WillConduct visual and/or detector aided UXO/MEC and DMM field search activities.Locate subsurface UXO/MEC and DMM by operating geophysical detection instruments.Escort personnel who are not directly involved in UXO-related operations (e.g., personnel performing environmental monitoring, but have activities to perform with exclusion areas).The top candidate will be a graduate of a UXO Technician I Course or a Military EOD School of the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, or Australia and will be a qualified UXO Technician II. In addition, candidates must have the 40hr HAZWOPER certification, along with any applicable 8hr HAZWOPER refresher course, as well as meet the minimum qualifications for the position as mandated by DDESB TP-18.
