Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director of Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation is responsible for administration and oversight of all activities concerning the achievement of continuous regulatory and accreditation readiness, quality excellence, and corporate safety compliance for the organization. The role provides oversight for matters including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), The Joint Commission (TJC), and other external agencies for regulatory compliance. This position works closely with the quality and safety department, facility leadership, and department leaders across the organization to support facilitation, development, and implementation of systems to ensure compliance with external accrediting and regulatory bodies, while driving process improvement and safety across the facility

What qualifications you will need:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Master Degree Preferred
  • 1+ years of technical and managerial experience in accreditation
  • Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), or Certification in Healthcare Quality Management (CHCQM) or Certified in Healthcare Quality must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • Currently licensed as a registered nurse or health professional in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.

Riverside Community Hospital is a large acute care facility with 517 beds, established in 1901. It has the most extensive Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center in the Inland Empire region and is the primary recipient of STEMI (heart attack) cases in Riverside County. The hospital is accredited as a Chest Pain Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center and has a HeartCare Institute that offers both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures. Riverside has a Center of Excellence for Surgical Weight Loss and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which it is very proud of.
