POSITION TITLE
Advanced Plant Finance Leader

POSITION OVERVIEW


This position is based in Gainesville, GA and is part of the Milliken Textiles Manufacturing Finance team, a group of dedicated finance professionals working together to manage the financials of 24 plants spanning manufacturing processes for textile products.

This position reports to the Manufacturing Finance Leader for yarn and weave plants and has ownership of 2 yarn plants located in Gainesville, GA and Mayoden, NC.

This position is responsible for achieving low-cost operations across our yarn plants through accurate standard costing, budgeting, and spend management, as well as ensuring an effective internal control environment.

This position serves as a thought partner to the plant managers and provides financial perspective to the operations team to help solve business and manufacturing opportunities.

Some travel is required for occasional plant visits away from "home" plant location, as well as traveling for finance meetings at corporate headquarters located in Spartanburg, SC.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform period end close and ensure accurate data and financial reporting
  • Uphold standard practices in operations, budget revisions, product costing, management reporting, and forecasting
  • Champion an effective internal control environment while adhering with all governance, risk, and compliance guidelines including account reconciliations
  • Drive profit, ROIC, and process improvement initiatives to help deliver cost reductions and financial performance
  • Control over major capital and expense spending in addition to asset management
  • Lead and certify all inventory and material cycle counts and clearings
  • Perform variance and spending analysis while providing insight to the plant manager and other manufacturing/business partners
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • BS Degree – Accounting or Finance or proven Financial Experience
  • Microsoft Office expertise
The successful candidate will have strengths in the following:

3 – 5 years in management accounting environment; Manufacturing experience a plus

  • SAP experience
  • Professional accounting certification (CMA and/or CPA) a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proactive and willing to take ownership and responsibility as a highly motivated self starter
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence others and promote change
  • Ability to work and gain results in a team environment
  • Desire to continuously look for improvement opportunities (efficiency, automation)
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
