The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a key leader in our nursing team, responsible for advancing the practice of nursing in a specific area of expertise. Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical leadership in the delivery of patient care, ensuring that patients receive high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Collaborate with nurse educators to develop and implement educational programs for patients, families, and staff.
- Contribute to the advancement of nursing practice through research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop system performance standards and improve patient outcomes.
- Support the continued professional growth of staff and students through mentoring and precepting.
- Licensed to practice as an APRN in Georgia.
- Board certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
- Masters Degree in Nursing.
- Five years of experience in nursing practice, with at least three years of recent experience in the service line/population of expertise.
- Doctoral Degree in Nursing.
- Preferred experience in a leadership role or as a CNS in a similar setting.
