Role Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a committed Clinical Nurse Leader who will report to the Nursing Director and oversee clinical and operational functions within a designated unit. You will be responsible for managing the unit's activities in the absence of the Director, working collaboratively with a dedicated team to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

The Clinical Nurse Leader is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care and coordinating all unit functions during their shift. Key duties include:

  • Directing, monitoring, and evaluating nursing care in line with established policies and procedures.
  • Serving as a resource for staff and exemplifying the organization's mission and values.
  • Managing staff roles and coordinating patient placement based on acuity and skill mix.
  • Identifying and addressing educational needs within the unit.
  • Leading patient care conferences to discuss discharge needs and other relevant issues.
  • Conducting rounds with physicians and staying informed about patient condition changes.
  • Ensuring timely execution of medical orders.

Job Requirements:

Candidates must possess a valid Florida RN license or an approved multistate RN license. Preferred qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience.
  • Completion of NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of employment.
  • A Bachelor's Degree, Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification prior to employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months of employment.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of employment.
  • Neonate Resuscitation certification within 30 days of employment.
