The Lead Time Innovation Leader, NA based in Marshalltown, IA leads initiatives to reduce lead-times within our product portfolio. Focus will be on investigation, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment to drive improvements which enable sales growth. This role will create an integrated customer focused strategy to increase bookings and improve customer satisfaction by reducing lead times without negatively impacting service levels. The Lead-time Innovation Leader will work with cross-functional teams across the value chain from quote to cash including the Emerson Impact Partners, customers, and all Flow Controls internal departments to understand complex business environments and create actionable projects that span the quote to cash cycle resulting in a Flow Control competitive advantage.

In this Role, You Will:

  • Create and implement a lead-time reduction strategy for the Flow Controls NA World Area
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and manage lead-time reduction projects
  • Develop programs to continuously mine data for future lead-time reduction opportunities
  • Leverage and promote best practices across the Flow Control Business Unit
  • Highlight the impact of lead times on customer satisfaction
  • Lead teams to enhance customer focus, sales growth, and supply chain optimization
  • Continuously improve lead-time reduction processes and tools
  • Analyze market and internal data to identify segmentation opportunities
  • Leadership Engagement: Build long-term relationships with leadership and become a trusted advisor
  • Engage with Emerson Impact Partners, key customers, and suppliers to drive improvement opportunities

Who You Are:

You formulate a clear strategy and map aggressive steps that will accelerate the organization toward its goals. You enjoy multi-tasking, and also applying knowledge of the organization to advance multiple objectives. You analyze multiple and diverse sources of information to define problems accurately before moving to solutions.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical subject area
  • Combination of experience in key functional roles such as operations, supply chain, engineering, product planning, sales/marketing, or Sales & Operations leadership
  • Ability to influence across all levels in an organization
  • Demonstrated change management skills
  • Experience leading a significant change effort
  • Clear demonstration of getting results through teams
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • MBA preferred
  • The ability to effectively deal with ambiguity
  • To challenge appropriately
  • Experience using Lean methodologies and principles (e.g., 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Kaizen, etc.)
