Summary:
The National Sales Leader will lead new business development and revenue growth targets with the goal of building a World Class Sales Organization. This position will manage a team of Producers to execute and achieve annual sales objectives. The National Sales Leader will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the Production Team, which will include hiring, producer development, training, mentoring, holding the producers accountable to their goals with actual data. Provide guidance and management to the Producers, overseeing the system of metrics and measures for successful performance. A true roll-up your sleeves hands-on approach.
- Develop strategic growth plans and set targets to execute the sales plan, aligning the sales operating objectives with the firm's business strategy. Work closely with the Practice Leaders to develop cross-selling strategies.
- Foster culture and collaboration, blending the sales team and other key stakeholders who support the production efforts to ensure our mutual growth goals are aligned with the individual practices.
- Responsible for managing the company's third-party outsourced lead generation relationship.
- Responsible for oversight, utilization and implementation of strategies related to the company's CRM system and other technology-based sales tools.
- Develop and execute weekly/monthly/quarterly reports to demonstrate effective management of KPI's and Sales Velocity.
- Research, develop and provide insights on new market development.
- Partner with the marketing team to ensure seamless and consistent messaging and assist in brand awareness development.
- Partner with CEO and CFO to develop annual budget, monthly forecast and variances in plan's goals and development.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to network and provide a continuous flow of prospective producer talent to meet the hiring velocity needed for top quartile organic growth.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of Production/Sales experience with proven leadership experience in the Insurance industry
- Proven record in driving successful sales goals and directing a team
- Proven year over year successful team metrics in new business and retention
- Experience in the development of strategic growth plans
- Strong negotiation skills
- Exceptional presentation skills and written skills
- Experience motivating and developing a team
- Manage forecasting and tools; experience in Hubspot a plus
- Proficient experience in MS Office skills
- Travel –As needed for recruiting, planning, business development, prospect and renewal meetings with Producers.
