For our client, you will act as a fractional and advisory Controller. You will be implementing process improvements, building data models, managing day-to-day performance, identifying challenges, and providing solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing and handling management duties for 3-7 clients across different stages of engagement cycles.
  • Prepare and/or review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards. Provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
  • Analyze data and recommend solutions to clients.
  • Develop, monitor, and update financial budgets and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Manage cash flow, including monitoring bank balances, preparing cash forecasts, and optimizing working capital. Implement strategies to maximize cash efficiency and mitigate financial risk.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor and enforce adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and performance evaluation. Identify key financial trends, variances, and risks, and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Coordinate insurance, renewals, and manage client's audit and tax engagements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA or CMA preferred. Prior public accounting experience is prioritized.
  • 2+ years of Controller experience strongly preferred and around 6 years of experience in accounting required.
  • Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills.
  • Must be able to communicate financial information into sound business language so people of all levels can understand.
  • Possess a proactive 'can-do' mindset and adaptability to navigate challenges.
  • Proficiency in guiding and overseeing teams to achieve shared goals through effective project management.
