What you'll do:

  • Design, develop and support content creation tools using C++, Python, C# to support Unreal engine workflows.
  • Give technical guidance to a team of other developers to build high quality tools.
  • Ensure that the game and tools are tightly integrated into multiple hardware platforms and ecosystemsmaking sure that game assets conform to each platform's strengths and limitations.
  • Monitor, measure, and improve developer iteration time.
  • Proactively identify and solve problems that affect the quality of life for developers.
  • Be an advocate for players and developers: Insist on the highest standards, drive to operational excellence, help create functional and engaging customercentric features.
A day in the life
Your day-to-day involves working closely with designers and artists to deliver workflow improvements and foster operational readiness. This involves a few regular meetings but mostly a lot of interaction either face-to-face or in virtual channels. The structure of your day includes these interactions but also a lot of focus time in implementing these ideas. You may also spend some time interacting with other game teams as we try to share technologyincluding toolswhenever possible.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 5+ years of Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • Recent experience with Unreal Engine
  • Recent experience building content and gameplay workflows for a launched title
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience with Unreal Engine version 5+

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
