Key Qualifications:
- Professional experience in the gaming industry as an Associate Lighting Artist.
- Ability to articulate complex lighting challenges to various stakeholders, including artists, engineers, and designers.
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Unreal Engine, Photoshop, and Houdini.
- Experience with real-time global illumination lighting systems, particularly in Unreal Engine 5 and Lumen.
- In-depth knowledge of lighting in real-time engines.
- Strong grasp of atmospheric effects, fog systems, and their application in enhancing visual aesthetics.
- Familiarity with Lumen, PBR materials, and troubleshooting material issues using buffer visualization tools.
- Understanding of the EV100 system and HDR lighting workflows.
- Knowledge of color grading techniques to evoke specific moods or feelings.
- Basic understanding of lighting optimization practices.
- Solid foundation in lighting principles, color theory, form, and value.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a strong background in real-time game lighting, with a focus on performance considerations and gameplay dynamics.
- Exhibit thorough expertise in lighting principles and color theory, crucial for creating compelling visual experiences.
- Show proficiency in composition and color grading techniques to achieve the desired aesthetic.
- Have at least one AAA game credited to your portfolio.
Interview Process:
The interview process for this position includes the following steps:
- 30-minute discussion with a member of our Talent Team.
- 60-minute interview with the Hiring Manager and team members.
- Final interview with the Executive Team.
- Reference checks and background verification.
Compensation:
We offer competitive compensation aligned with market standards, including a substantial annual bonus structure. The base salary for this position ranges from $66,000 to $99,000, contingent on skills and experience. Compensation decisions consider various factors, including experience level and skill set.
