JOB OVERVIEW
The NYFF Press & Industry Services Coordinator's primary responsibility is overseeing the accreditation process for the New York Film Festival's press and industry (P&I) programs, which includes administering the online application and database, outreach to new and established audiences, managing operations and volunteers in the P&I office, and providing on-site customer service to accredited press and industry members during all NYFF P&I screenings (Sept.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Pre-festival:
Manage online accreditation applications through NYFF database (Eventival), ensuring accuracy of database and updating as needed
Timely review and vetting of all applications for press and industry accreditation, coordinating with department managers for application approvals on a rolling basis
Create and distribute formal communications to previously accredited press and industry related to the application process and acceptance/rejection, P&I screening schedule, and the festival in general
Monitor and respond to customer inquiries in both the press and industry inboxes
Conduct research into new media organizations (critics groups, etc) to promote press accreditation to new and diverse media
Work with the colleagues on the marketing and communications team to promote press and industry accreditation, reminders of key deadlines, etc.
Prepare final lists of all approved P&I for credentials/badges and work closely with colleagues in production to ensure all badges are produced
Coordinate with colleagues in ticketing to fulfill NYFF Pass benefits for Industry
Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed
During festival:
Train and manage P&I office volunteers during all press office hours (M-F beginning one hour before each morning screening through start of last afternoon/evening screening)
Provide customer service in P&I office to answer any inquiries or solve any issues escalated up from volunteers
Generate timely attendance reports for each P&I screening and distribute to film's publicity contact
Track special requests for non-accredited press or industry members to attend P&I screenings
Manage special ticket requests from press members, tracking approvals of requests with department manager and coordinating handoff of tickets to ticketing manager
Oversee assistant in compiling invitation/RSVP list for NYFF Industry Reception and attend reception as a host
Assist the publicity team with additional on-site operational tasks as needed
Post-festival:
File final audited lists of P&I applicants
Provide final financial reporting for Industry pass sales
Send survey to Industry and compile response data
Archive NYFF62 P&I participants in database
Deliver a wrap report detailing the press and industry accreditation process, provide suggestions for future improvements Reference: ECNJOBID in the application
