Nature of Work/ Job Description:

Performs administrative and professional work for the city's multiple public venues. Primary duties include oversee and represents the city on the technology contracts and service providers of network systems, hardware, and software and other technology at the Kia Center, Camping World Stadium, Leu Gardens and Mennello Museum.

Responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan and providing business value. The IT Project Manager also defines the project's objectives and oversees quality control throughout its life cycle. Plan and implement technology solutions to improve venues operational efficiency and enhance user experience and troubleshoot and resolve technology-related issues promptly. Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways to gain competitive advantage. Administer technology contracts, including but not limited to (Ticketmaster, Network, DAS, Wi-Fi, Security, Cameras etc.) and provide technical guidance when needed. Coordinate with external vendors and city IT to manage IT purchases and relationships.

Maintain a detailed understanding of the latest industry trends and advancements to ensure the venue's technology remains current and represent the city with strategic partners involved in technology operations. Oversee the development, configuration and modification of integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions to include Al (artificial intelligence) solutions for the city systems. Manage risk assessment, disaster recovery, and data security procedures to ensure network and system integrity. Provide technical support and training to venue staff as needed. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Business Services Division Manager and performance is reviewed through conferences, written reports, and achievement of goals and objectives.

Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Programming, Computer Science, or related field and two (2) years project management experience preferably in the entertainment industry or related field, one (1) year of which must have been implementing projects in the following areas: information technology, network infrastructure, or major software applications; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience with standard desktop productivity and project management tools required and experience in live event production, venue management, or entertainment technology is highly desirable. PRINCE2 or PMP certification required depending on area of assignment. Must pass police background investigation.


Additional Qualifications for Promotion:

Promotions are not to be considered an automatic function of longevity and are subject to the review and authorization of the Supervisor. The employee's last performance review must have resulted in an overall rating of Meets standards or better with no factor rating of less than meets.

This is a full-time CONTRACT position with the same benefits as Regular full-time. Most contracts are renewable for terms of one year.
