Blue Ridge Spirits & Wine Marketing is seeking a result-driven and strategic-minded Regional Manager to join our team. This pivotal role will contribute to the company's growth and expansion efforts while overseeing the development and execution of key sales strategies with your region. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide strategic leadership and vision to drive growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the executive team members to set organizational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the performance of your sales team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Develop and implement team strategies to exceed the regions sales and revenue goals.
  • Foster strong relationships with supplier partners, retailers, and distributors.
  • Adaptability in response to market trends and distributor/retailer transition periods.
  • Assist the DVP with the development of annual forecasts, budgets, and sales plans.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across the organization.
  • Evaluate and optimize processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Exhibit effective time management skills.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, implementing adjustments as needed.
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging market opportunities to further organizational growth.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align promotional activities with sales strategies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
These responsibilities are distinct and collectively contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Regional Manager role. QUALIFICATIONSProven Sales Leadership:
  • Demonstrated success in leading and motivating sales teams to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion within the assigned region.
Industry Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the alcohol industry, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the alcohol industry.
Strategic Thinker:
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet organizational objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market conditions and identify growth opportunities.
Effective Communication:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate and communicate sales strategies, goals, and expectations clearly to your distribution partners.
Relationship Building:
  • Proven ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with distributors, suppliers, and retailers.
  • Experience in negotiating and closing complex sales deals.
Customer Focus:
  • Customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering excellent service and building lasting industry relationships.
  • Understanding of distributor and retailer needs with the ability to tailor sales strategies accordingly.
Results-Oriented:
  • Track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to drive a results-oriented culture within the sales team.
Adaptability:
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Flexibility to navigate and respond to changing hierarchy at distributors.
Bachelor's Degree:
  • A bachelor's degree or relative industry experience.
Technological Proficiency:
  • Familiarity and ability to pilot sales management tools, CRM systems, and other relevant technologies.
Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges and obstacles in the sales environment.
Ethical Conduct:
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in all aspects of sales and business dealings.
Travel Readiness:
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with distributors, attend industry events, and oversee territory operations.
Time Management:
  • Effective time management skills to balance strategic planning, distributor management, and hands-on sales efforts.
