Packing Assistant

Position:
Part-time, packing assistant and delivery driver of frozen food to homes around Portland, OR.

Individual in this position will help keep freezer inventory organized, assist with packing deliveries and deliver shares to our members.


Other duties may include:
cleaning and organizing work space, labeling delivery bags, occasional runs to the butcher, ect.

Pay:
$18/hr to start ( + $0.625/mile mileage reimbursement) Review and pay increase after 90-day probationary period


Schedule: 7 packing days and 7 delivery days per month, each around 4-6 hours, Typical work schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

There is some flexibility with scheduled dates depending on holidays ect. and start times.

Location:
Farm is in Oregon City, deliveries are throughout the Portland metro area

Requirements:
Must Have A RELIABLE mid-sized vehicle, insurance and a smartphone. Candidates must have a valid license and a clean driving record. Ability to lift 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs on occasion is required.

Moomaw Family Farm is a small-scale pastured meat farm located in Oregon City, run by Nathan and Amanda Moomaw.

We provide home delivery of our frozen meat to families and individuals throughout the Portland area, including Vancouver and Salem.

We're a very small business, with just a couple employees.

We're looking to hire a responsible and dependable individual who would assist in packing shares and who would enjoy delivering pasture-raised meat to our customers.
