Job Overview

Position: Senior Wrapper Machine Operator

The Senior Wrapper Machine Operator is tasked with overseeing the operation of wrapping machinery and serves as the primary point of contact for the team. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating communication between shifts to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Ensuring adherence to established recipes, protocols, and operational processes on a daily basis.
  • Reporting any productivity challenges to the Supervisor promptly.
  • Participating in team huddles twice during each shift.
  • Managing break and lunch schedules within the operational area.
  • Collaborating with Supervisors and Managers on changeover and stoppage activities.
  • Assisting wrapper operators in resolving packaging challenges.
  • Leading the team in troubleshooting packaging-related issues.
  • Training new hires on operational processes and standards.
  • Working alongside the packaging team to identify needs and propose improvements to Supervisors and Managers.
  • Coordinating with Case Packer Operators to ensure efficient case packing operations.
  • Supporting Hand Packagers to maintain packing standards.
  • Providing troubleshooting assistance across different lines as needed.
  • Helping to coordinate work-in-progress and repacking tasks.
  • Availability for weekend shifts as scheduled.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Wrapper Operation.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods during shifts.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding English for safety compliance.

Work Schedule:

  • Swing Shift – Monday through Saturday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
