About the Team
This role reports to a growing team focused on the Security Services offered and delivered by Rapid7. This portfolio of services includes Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Managed Vulnerability Management (MVM), Managed Application Security (MAS), Incident Response (IR), and more.
Our services delivery team spans the globe with resources concentrated in the locations of our 4 Security Operations Centers in the United States, Ireland, Australia, and the Czech Republic.
About the Role
The role of our Senior Product Managers is to help shape the future of managed services and product experiences helping us to deliver services. This solution will provide cutting-edge insights into our customers' security posture, and help them protect an ever-growing and evolving attack surface. This person will challenge convention and open up new possibilities with foresight, consideration, and positivity. You will work closely with customers, sales, marketing, engineering teams, and world-class cyber security specialists to obtain market insights directly or through customer-facing teams and will own the product life-cycle end to end.
In this role, you will:
- Work with executive leadership, product, and engineering teams to develop product plans aligned with market requirements and opportunities for growth.
- Work with customers and leverage market research to develop functional and technical requirements in partnership with engineering.
- Lead cross-team collaboration for product planning, prioritization, development, launch and ongoing enhancements that balance responsiveness to customer needs with strategic market impact.
- Encourage data-driven product decisions leveraging utilization metrics, user feedback, and customer partnership.
- Partner with UX design and engineering teams to ensure the best possible user experiences and customer value.
- Work with product and marketing leadership to develop content, messaging, and competitive positioning based on solid value propositions and real-world use cases driving sales enablement and existing customer growth.
- Be an advocate for upcoming features, across the organization, and with customers, we expect our PMs to be first-class stakeholders in all parts of the planning and execution process.
The skills you'll bring include:
- 3+ years of experience in product management roles
- Demonstrated success in planning, managing, and launching products or service offerings
- Healthy curiosity, thirst for knowledge, and willingness to get hands-on when needed
- Good understanding of how to work with technical, enterprise customers
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical topics with a focus on productive teamwork
- Passion for research and keeping up to date with competitive and industry trends to help shape the future of our products
- Ability to partner with others and drive toward solutions
- Analytical, problem-solving mindset
- Exposure to big data processing projects and architecture a plus
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies a plus
- Strong understanding from a services delivery perspective a plus
- Willingness to travel abroad (up to 30%), when safe to do so
