Required Qualifications:
6 months experience in cardiac or pulmonary rehabilitation or Successful completion of a cardiac rehabilitation internship of at least 400 hours
Meets Core Competencies as defined by AACVPR for Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or health care related field
Job Description:
Join our dedicated Team of Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialists at our Virginia Hospital. Provide compassionate care, develop personalized rehabilitation programs, and support patients recovering from cardiac events. Ideal candidates will have experience in cardiac care, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes. This is a casual/as needed position with great flexibility. In this role you will get to: Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients ages 13 years old and older referred to the Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs, and other programs associated with the Cardiac Rehabilitation Services. Is also involved in the ongoing development of these programs.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Certification/Licensure Required:
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) or American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP)
