Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist

The Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist plays a vital role in the diagnostic imaging department, focusing on echocardiography procedures. This position requires a skilled professional capable of delivering high-quality cardiac ultrasound services.
Certification Requirements- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) – Adult
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- RDCS – Pediatric certification is preferred
- Perform echocardiograms and assist in various cardiac imaging procedures.
- Maintain a patient ratio of 6 Echo Techs, with a maximum of 8.
- Work a guaranteed 40 hours per week.
- Experience in Bubble Studies, Contrast Agents, M-Mode, and TEE is essential.
- Preferred experience includes Pediatric Echo, 3D Echo, Pharmacologic Stress Echos, RIT/RVOT, and Treadmill Stress Echos.
- Familiarity with Phillips equipment is required; Siemens and GE experience is a plus.
- Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, as blocked schedules cannot be accommodated.
- Must adhere to a 100-mile radius rule for travel assignments.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Certifications required: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), RDCS – Adult, RCS, and RDCS – Peds (preferred).
- Registration in adult echocardiography is mandatory.
- Shifts may include 5x8 from 2 PM to 10:30 PM or 4x10 from 12 PM to 10:30 PM, including weekdays and every other weekend.
- On-call rotation is required; details to be discussed during the interview process.
- Travelers may be floated to nearby facilities as needed.
- Weekend work is required every other weekend.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Social Security Card is required for employment.
- Applicants must ensure that their driver's license matches their compact state license.
- Permanent employees must wait 2 years after their last day worked before returning as travelers.
- Annual skills checklist completion for specialty is required.
