Role Summary

Assists in development and implementation of quality procedures, work instructions and standards. Serves as the main contact for customer issues; assists internal and external contacts to resolve product and process problems. Serves as a problem-solving resource by initiating action to overcome obstacles as they are encountered and prevent potential quality problems. Serves as a resource for manufacturing to reduce or eliminate problems using SPC, DOE, continuous improvement, and other tools as necessary. Provides advice for product, product or data analysis; engages in comparative and competitive analysis to ensure utilization of most appropriate and beneficial techniques. Performs other duties as necessary. May supervise and provide work direction to other staff.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serves as the main contact for customer issues; must be capable of communicating by phone, email or various customer portal method.
  2. Obtain thorough information and communicate customer reject information via documented methods in a timely manner. Assist with initial analysis of reject credibility and initiate part toting and review when samples are received.
  3. Arrange for sorting at customer locations if necessary, issuing necessary purchase orders, requisitions and RMA as if needed.
  4. Organize customer information, create 8D files and complete sections 1-3. Communicate professionally with customers and send initial and final responses within the established customer due dates.
  5. Assist in quality alert creation and distribution and containment of in-house product if needed. Initiate PCA for 2nd gate if needed
  6. Assists in development and implementation of quality procedures, work instructions and standards.
  7. Serve as a problem-solving resource by initiating action to overcome obstacles as they are encountered and prevent potential quality problems. Serves as a resource for manufacturing to reduce or eliminate problems through the use of SPC, DOE, continuous improvement, and other tools as necessary.
  8. Provides advice for product, product or data analysis; engages in comparative and competitive analysis to ensure utilization of most appropriate and beneficial techniques.
  9. Performs other duties as necessary. May supervise and provide work direction to other staff.
  10. Assists in development and implementation of quality procedures, work instructions and standards. Understands Magna Mirrors Holland's quality policy and assures compliance with ISO/IATF systems.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering field or equivalent work experience in automotive or quality.
  2. Demonstrated ability to organize, evaluate and analyze internal or external data
  3. Clear and concise communication skills
  4. Demonstrated ability to work on both short and long-term assignments
  5. Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills to prioritize, coordinate projects, manage conflicting needs, and deal with many issues at one time. Must be able to work independently and maintain focus.
  6. Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts and represent the Company in a professional manner when performing job duties. Must have excellent interpersonal skills to exercise influence at various levels and functions.
  7. Strong computer background with ability to calculate and analyze data, generate reports, present information, etc.
  8. Must posses the knowledge of technical processes such as PFMEA, PPAP, DCP, and root causes/problem solving.
