Salary Range:

City Experiences is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager for our operation in Marina del Rey.

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

The successful F&B Manager is technically competent in all day-to-day F&B operations including but not limited to; ordering, stocking, administrative duties, supervising onboard crew and managing events. They are also hospitable and cordial to coworkers and guests and acts safely and responsibly.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work with F&B Admin Manager to ensure effective scheduling to maintain service levels and control labor costs
  • Attend weekly catering meetings
  • Work with Lead Bartender to ensure accurate and complete weekly beverage inventories
  • Responsible (with assistance from F&B Admin Manager when appropriate) for interviewing, hiring, training and disciplining of FOH team
  • Document all staff/team interactions and provide counseling when necessary with HR guidance
  • Ordering of product as needed, using Net Chef procedures
  • Adhere to safe and sanitary handling of all food & beverage products to Ecosure and Health Department standards
  • Communicate, to Director, supply needs to facilitate ordering as needed
  • Work with Accounting team to ensure proper cash handling and POS procedures are being adhered to by all crew
  • Work with onboard team to improve sales techniques and increase onboard sales
  • Increase interaction in local business community to foster relationships that can lead to trade possibilities, crew recruitments well as increased sales and ither opportunities
  • Regularly manage events to work with onboard team and maintain a presence onboard
  • Work with crew to maintain a high level of service and advise areas that may need attention and improvement
  • Communicate and train crew on all SOPP's
  • Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards
  • Support the onboard Operations team with all safety requirements
  • Maintain and reinforce consistent RESPECT standards
  • Additional job duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • At least one (1) year of Management experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential
  • Must be able to take direction and work well unsupervised
  • Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to coworkers and guests
  • Must possess a service orientation - actively looking for ways to help others
  • Will work for extended periods without sitting
  • The nature of the work may be strenuous and the work environment may be warm
  • Required to lift and move heavy items such as cases of provisions
  • Will be required to be available for work on all major holidays
  • Must meet minimum state age requirements
