Job brief:
The Weather Company is seeking a certified Agile Coach/Lead Scrum Master to join our Operations team. In this role, you will act as the Scrum Master for multiple Engineering squads, delivering high-visibility initiatives and leading our organization's Agile maturity through training and coaching. Your responsibilities will include setting and establishing scrum cadences, ceremonies, and disciplines to enhance the effectiveness of our agile teams.

- Oversee the Agile transformation for multiple teams
- Coach teams in Agile concepts, principles, practices, and behaviors
- Lead in the creation, delivery, and strategy of Agile training across the organization
- Provide mentoring and coaching to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members of new and existing Agile teams
- Help establish processes, policies, procedures, and training to support the teams' Agile maturity
- Perform Scrum Master role, including daily stand-ups, scrum of scrums, retrospectives, backlog grooming, risk/issue management, etc.
- Use agile methodologies, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions
- Work diligently to identify and eliminate blockers for the teams
- Provide the necessary training, mentoring, and support to the Agile teams to follow agile best practices
- Prepare, present, and provide reports, including Agile maturity assessments, velocity and status reports to key stakeholders
- Collect, publish, and leverage trends around a package of metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Establish and promote the discipline around agile methodologies to the team
- Use collaborative and transparent processes
- Use JIRA as a main tracking tool with the team
- Develop key relationships within the business to help processes and decisions run smoothly
- Escalate appropriately and quickly as issues are identified
- Collaborate and leverage contacts in the wider Agile community to deliver the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Schedule and lead all Agile ceremonies
- Ensure consistency in Story Point definitions
- Together with the teams, establish a Definition of Ready and a Definition of Done
- Maintain data integrity by ensuring data is complete and accurate
- Work with Product Management and Development Leads on all Sprint Planning activities, including selecting stories based on feature priorities
- Provide dashboards and metrics based on key data points
- Weekly and daily status reporting to key stakeholders including executive management
- At least one of the following:
CSM, CSP-SM, PMI-ACP, or PSM Certification - 5
years of experience as a Scrum Master with 3
years of Agile Coaching experience - SME in Agile best practices
- Comfortable interacting with all levels of personnel within the organization
- Excellent people and interpersonal skills
- Expert skills using Jira; reports, and dashboards are a must
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills
- ICP-ACC, ICE-AC, DAC or EAC Certification
- Previous Project Management experience
- Experience using JIRA
- 8
