Description:

SUMMARY: The Systems Engineer position will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and upgrading of both server and network infrastructure alongside enterprise software solutions. They will also provide guidance on system design and deployment of new or upgraded equipment and systems solutions for the environment and present it to the Director of I.T.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Installation, maintenance and administration of computer server and network infrastructure related computing environments including systems, hardware, enterprise software and configurations related to each


• Designing, configuring, and testing networking hardware, software, computer and server hardware, and operating system software


• Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures


• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems


• Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for all systems


• Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software


• Manage backup solutions, including testing to verify backups as well as the company disaster recovery plan.


• Manage Office 365 environment and active directory


• Provide level 2 helpdesk support for desktops

QUALIFICATIONS:


• 3 years of IT and Systems Engineer experience – BA /BS or equivalent preferred


• Proficiencies with server hardware and operating systems.


• Proficiencies with managing Network equipment including firewalls, routers, switches and wireless access points.


• Pass background check


• SQL server configuration


• VMware and Citrix virtualization


• Microsoft 365


• Windows 10/11, Server 2019/2022, Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS)


• Programing Skills, experience with C#, Python, PowerShell a plus


• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• Strong attention to detail, good organizational, and time management skills


• Ability to translate and interpret technical information into general user-oriented terms


• Ability to think analytically towards problem resolution


• A commitment to excellence and willingness to do "whatever it takes" to get the job done


• The ability to multitask and quickly switch your focus to meet deadlines


• Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels
