The Communications & OCM Manager holds a critical role in defining, creating and executing change management and communications programs. The candidate must have proven expertise in thinking strategically, implementing well thought out plans, and executing meaningful communications to all levels of Finance Leadership. The candidate must be able to convert concepts into actionable plans and present to an executive level leadership group to obtain buy-in and support for those plans. Candidate must be passionate about creatively managing and implementing communication strategies, a strong manager of people, process, projects, and ideas, and can quickly pivot from strategy to execution while maintaining stellar communication skills.
Candidates should bring a passion for innovative communication strategies, relentless change impact and value focus, and a zeal for successfully delivering well-organized messages that drive both comprehension and commitment from the team.
Primary Responsibilities and Activities

  • Acts as the primary communications and organizational change management strategist for the Finance Organization, collaborating with senior leadership to develop and deliver cohesive, impactful messaging with a consistent voice
  • Creates and schedules multi-channel communication plans that drive employee awareness and engagement
  • Partners with and supports Finance leadership and BU stakeholders in developing key messages with appropriate themes, style, audience, scheduling, and modality
  • Creates tools and plans that drive adoption and proficiency of changes within the organization including but not limited to stakeholder assessments, leadership alignment activities, organization transition plans and change readiness assessments
  • Facilitates generalized and specific change management messaging with cross-functional, multi-tiered team members and stakeholders to ensure adoption of organizational transformations
  • Work closely with Finance leadership team to understand projects that support Finance's goals and objectives and works with the broader Finance organization to manage change associated with the projects and develop effective communications as needed
  • Ensures that the CSC culture, values, and goals are present within communications, driving a pervasive awareness of our key focuses
  • Defines change and communication success metrics; tracks and adjusts strategies as needed

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications or equivalent experience

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in an internal communications role.
  • 5+ years experience effectively working with multiple business units in a matrixed organizational environment to gain support for internal objectives and implement effectively.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with implementing Content Management Systems (CMS) and/or Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.
  • 5+ years experience effectively working an Executive leadership team to develop an all-encompassing communications plan.
  • Effective in understanding capabilities of current communications tools utilized and developing a robust communications channel strategy that informs all colleagues in a geographically diverse organization

Knowledge and Skills

  • Exceptional verbal and communication skills including drafting, proofreading, and editing skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Proven track record of autonomously building and executing a multi-channel communication and/or change management strategy
  • Demonstrated analytical processing, critical-thinking, decision-making, and follow-through skills
  • Ability to understand, simplify, and communicate complex technical, business, and operational data into clear, action-oriented communications
  • Desire and ability to rapidly acquire understanding of our business, needs including establishing and maintaining a high level of trust and confidence with stakeholders
  • Creative, experimental work-style; excited to develop this function and enhance communications through processes and tools that have yet to be explored
  • Drive to set priorities, meet deadlines, manage multiple demands, think strategically, and solve problems
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and development to stay current with industry trends and innovative ways of communicating messages
