Overview:
The Digital Platforms Intern will assist in creating and publishing content for , the Giants app, the Giants newsletter, Connected TV, and additional digital and social media channels as well as possess strong front-end design skills and knowledge of emerging technology platforms. They should have previous experience working in a content management system (CMS) or web development. This is a full-time internship working approximately 40 hours per week, plus game days and occasional weekends and holidays. The internship would begin in mid-July and end two weeks after the season is completed. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Publish editorial and photo content to digital and social media platforms, including YouTube
  • Design page layouts for and the Giants mobile app
  • Assist in new digital platforms launch strategy, and track engagement and user growth
  • Evaluate new opportunities in the digital platforms space, specifically in professional sports
  • Strategize how to incorporate mixed media to enhance content performance
  • Manage ancillary platforms including e-newsletter, online forms, video captions, push notifications
  • Point of contact for approving and publishing social content across in-stadium video board
Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a content management system (CMS) or web development
  • Strong knowledge of the New York Giants and the NFL
  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical subject matter to colleagues
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when privy to sensitive information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player attitude and willing to jump in wherever necessary
  • Ability to work independently when given a task
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
