Regardless of role, we at the University of Minnesota Physicians recognize that every member of our team is vital. As a Clinic RN, you will work as part of a large multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for providing professional and quality nursing care in our specialty clinics.

The Clinic RN performs both independent and delegated tasks, which include assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for assigned patients, as well as participation in and coordination of patient care in collaboration with other health care team members. UMPhysicians Clinic RNs embrace change, engage in ongoing process improvement, and provide exceptional customer service and care.

Clinic RN Overview

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establishes measurable and achievable short- and long-term goals for patients
  • Implements nursing protocols based on the treatment plan, ensuring continuity of care for patient. Provides education to patient and caregiver(s)
  • Evaluation of the patient's status and efficiency of the nursing care and modified care plan as needed
  • Helps provide healthcare access through nurse visits, management of in-basket task (phone messages, MyChart communication, refill requests, results)
  • Provides safe and timely telephonic triage for symptomatic callers, using system approved triage policies and protocols

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota RN Licensure and knowledge of specialty area
  • Associate's (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)

Location: 2426 W Broadway Avenue, Minneapolis

Hours: 1.0 FTE
