PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Part-time Specialist III, Care Center performs standard duties to assist the department in providing wraparound services for students. This position serves as a primary point of contact for general information to students, faculty, and staff. A vital aspect of the role is maintaining a general understanding of the policies, processes, and procedures of the numerous services offered. The PT Specialist III contributes to the department in multiple ways, including maintaining the Care Center services including record keeping and service distribution, which are essential for tracking purposes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Provide essential customer service to all individuals seeking assistance in the Care Center while maintaining confidentialityHandle incoming calls and inquiries for the Care CenterMaintain a thorough understanding of the most current policies and standard operating procedures for the Care CenterSort, organize and log donated items and other donationsUnder direct supervision, manage inventory, stock organization and rotation (expiration date tracking)Collects needed information from participants via designated tracking systemProvide timely updates and operational insights to leadership (Dean) as neededAssist with Care Center eventsResponsible for other reasonable, related duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Ability and willingness to treat all employees, parents, and children with respect and dignity while maintaining confidentialityAbility to always maintain confidentialityKnowledge and experience working with youthStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to work autonomously and as part of a teamPossess excellent organizational skillsStrong multi-tasking abilities with the ability to prioritize dutiesDemonstrates commitment to multicultural and multi-generational diversityAbility to lift up to 25 poundsPHYSICAL ABILITIES:

Position may involve some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or canned goods. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
