SUMMARY:

The position will play a vital role in the day-to-day service and support of JAMCO’s Quality Management Program. It will serve as the primary liaison between the company quality process and our internal operational departments to ensure requirements are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001 and regulatory/legal requirements
  • Ensure evaluation of, and reporting on, quality processes and KPI’s efficiencies and inefficiencies
  • Oversee inspection, update and elaboration of current and new procedures and processes
  • Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the organization’s products
  • Lead the team of Quality staff, analysts and supervisors
  • Work with customers, employees, contractors, vendors to develop product requirements
  • Report to Top Management on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of the quality audits, corrective actions), including the need for improvement
  • Conduct periodic management review meetings
  • Keep up on standards, regulatory/laws, issues and news with respect to service quality
  • Interact with various levels and departments within client organization.
  • Lead Lean events and tactics as it relates to Quality
  • Lead Process Reliability Improvement projects with associated cross functional teams
  • Minimum 1 monthly self-training on Lean and Quality Tool


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Training & Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Two (2) years progressively responsible experience performing related functions
  • Experience managing or implementing a Quality program


LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS: No specific licenses or certifications are required for this position. However, certifications related to quality management, such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, are highly encouraged and preferred. Candidates are encouraged to include any relevant certifications with their application for consideration.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ability to investigate a variety of administrative problems and make recommendations as to their solutions and to prepare working procedures.
  • Ability to analyze and appraise and organize facts and evidence and present material clearly and logically in oral or written form.
  • Ability to take and follow directions from supervisor.
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to maintain good planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use computer hardware, various software programs and technologies, including word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Ability to maintain a good and positive working relationship with all co-workers and other contacts.
  • Ability to travel in/out of the United States.
  • Required to comply with all JAMCO’s policies and procedures.
  • Ability to follow all rules of telephone courtesy in all telephone communications


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work in a climate-controlled office environment, often interacting with others but also completing tasks independently. Light travel may occasionally be required. The position may involve extended workdays beyond regular working hours. Physical requirements include simple grasping, standing, sitting, walking, and occasionally climbing stairs. The ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds, with light lifting under 24 pounds, may be needed. Essential functions require the ability to see, write, count, read, hear, and distinguish shades of colors.
