Trimlite is a manufacturer of decorative door-lites, stile and rail doors and a wholesale distributor of doors, millwork and building material related products to the building trade. We are looking to fill our open position of Strategic Sourcing Project Manager at our Renton, WA location.


Position Summary:

The Sourcing Project Manager is responsible for the execution of strategic sourcing initiatives including price negotiations, supplier selection, and continuous improvement programs.


Responsibilities:

  • Utilize sourcing tools & analytics to identify cost saving opportunities within global supply chain.
  • Conduct category and spend analysis across the company for opportunities, while taking into consideration footprint, vertical integration, end to end supply network for de-risking while executing cost reduction strategies.
  • Manage centralized approved supplier list.
  • Drive multiple projects driving cost, quality, and timing requirements to optimize supply chain business operations.
  • Provides business oversight for projects to keep projects in alignment with quality, cost, and timeline goals.
  • Generate and maintain project timelines, ramp up/down plans, milestones, and action items for complex sourcing supply chain projects.
  • Manage annual project management goals, drive continuous improvement, and hold stakeholders accountable to targets.
  • Communicate information pertaining to assigned projects internally to interested parties to ensure they have adequate information to plan for project impacts.
  • Build supplier relationships through frequent and effective communication of business, quality, and cost
  • Lead the RFP, RFQ and RFI processes.

 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous negotiating, contracting, and/or sourcing experience, as well as an understanding of supplier capabilities and marketplace.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience dealing with high mix, low volume global supply chain.
  • Experience working with Asia-based suppliers.
  • High level of integrity and ethics.
  • Well-developed project management and analytical skills.
  • Must be a strategic thinker and have demonstrated experience driving initiatives.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field such as Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or Logistics.
  • At least 4+ years of experience managing procurement projects.
