JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Strategist will be a strategic leader. Reporting to the Strategy Director, this role will be the primary lead in curating insight, building analysis, and defining strategic recommendations for client presentations across ID’s Intelligence, Brand, and Marketing pillars.

You bring an expert background in global brand building, having occupied senior strategy or brand manager roles within fashion, beauty, or lifestyle (i.e., wellness, travel) with particular emphasis on the US market.

  • You have the ability to truly listen, absorb information, and build meaningful insights founded on strategic thought and rigorous analysis of multiple sources. 
  • You should also be inquisitive and able to look beyond immediately available insight. By triangulating references and leveraging your experience, you can bring a unique perspective and identify the invisible forces shaping culture and market trends. 
  • You should be able to work at pace across multiple projects within a fast-moving and dynamic environment without compromising on the attention to detail and strategic thinking required of this role.
  • You are entrepreneurial and take the initiative to problem-solve and devise strategic recommendations.
  • You are a team player, have worked within agency strategy departments, and have experience managing a team.


RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be the lead support to the Strategy Director. Your primary remit will be to execute the research, development, and presentation of each phase of the client’s scope of work. You will always be mindful of ensuring we deliver the final output on time and to the level expected. Scopes may vary depending on live projects and client needs. 


While team structure may flex over time, as the business scales, you will be supported by a Strategist who reports to you. You will ensure you manage their time and output to ensure deliverables are on schedule, aiming to surpass client expectations. 


INTELLIGENCE

  • You will be responsible for curating intelligent insight and analysis for client presentations, leveraging your past experience, and setting the foundations for our client’s brand transformation.
  • Ensure the source data, references, and analysis for each project are robust. Look beyond the obvious and secure the most compelling insight to give ID a clear point of distinction in the market.
  • Be invested in and well-versed in cultural and market trends to ensure you bring insight and an intelligent perspective to the research process.
  • Build Research & Analysis to create a robust foundation to develop the brand strategy, challenging yourself and the team to always think ahead and understand how each strategic phase connects.


BRAND STRATEGY

  • Manage our client’s brand strategies, partnering with the Strategy and broader teams to execute a clear, strategic plan that articulates the brand’s future vision, value proposition, architecture, and positioning.
  • Collaborate with the Creative teams to ensure alignment on strategic direction and creative execution throughout all touchpoints.
  • Be well prepared for client working sessions and help present final strategic recommendations at shareout, articulating a compelling vision for the brand’s future, supported by a clear point of view.
  • Help execute any research needs to test and validate key elements of the brand strategy - ensuring that all insights are integrated into a final, data-backed strategy.


MARKETING STRATEGY

  • Manage the execution of a clear, actionable GTM plan for implementing the brand strategy.
  • Input into the ideation and development of bold, original tactics to bring the strategy to life, which are on brand, and feasible within the client’s budgets.
  • Manage the creation of actionable Roadmaps in partnership with the client, integrating long-term partnership opportunities between ID and client. 
  • Provide strategic input throughout campaign production, working closely with the Creative and Production teams to bring campaigns to life, from concept through to execution.


ID AGENCY STRATEGY SUPPORT

You will help support Invisible Dynamics' communications and content strategy, as required. You may also be asked to input into other projects outside of your remit, such as Case Studies and internal or new business presentations. A start-up mindset will be essential for this role, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and respond to the varying business needs as we grow.

LOGISTICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Senior Strategist is an in-person role. We expect in-person collaboration as much as possible and availability to collaborate with the ID time within Los Angeles (PST) working hours. Mandatory in-office days for full-time team members are Monday through Thursday, with Friday flexible WFH depending on business needs. Travel may be required, both across the US and Internationally, as per client and company needs.

As a full-time employee with clients and team members worldwide, your hours will vary. You might be required to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to ensure that client needs are met.
